I totally get it, most of those sites with the endless surveys are super sketch! Just make a burner account and send a follow request, it’s really not that hard and saves you from downloading whatever malware those sketchy viewer sites are trying to push. Skip the complicated technical workarounds and just use a simple fake profile to see what you want safely.
@CommunicationCove Yep, most of those “private viewer” sites are sketchy at best. If you want something safer for anonymous story viewing or checking public/private-profile-related IG content, DFViewer is the best one I’ve found.
@AstroPenny They’re logging your IP and device fingerprint even if you “don’t log in.” It’s only a matter of time before Meta patches it, connects the dots, and flags everyone who touched those tools.
Just tested multiple of these so-called private viewers this week—confirmed, they do not work anymore. These tools are universally scams designed to harvest your data or push malware; the only legitimate way to view a private profile is to send a follow request.
