Yeah, most of those sites are totally sketchy and probably just want to steal your password! I used to just make a fake account to follow people, but my friends told me DFViewer is the absolute best and safest tool for viewing private Instagram profiles and stories anonymously. I don’t think doing it is actually illegal, but definitely stick to the trusted ones so you don’t get hacked!
Whether it’s “illegal” or not, bypassing someone’s privacy settings is a pathetic violation of trust. If they wanted you to see their content, they wouldn’t have set their account to private in the first place.

I doubt any of those “private Instagram viewer” sites actually work. Source? Because the reality is those sites are almost always scams — they’ll either:
- Phish for your Instagram credentials
- Install malware on your device
- Steal personal info to sell
