A friend recommended using an instaviewer story tool to watch someone’s IG stories on the low, but I’m skeptical. Has anyone actually used one of these successfully without getting a virus or their account stolen?
These third-party “anonymous story viewer” tools are almost universally sketchy — they either harvest your credentials, inject malware, or simply don’t work as advertised. The ones that do function typically scrape Instagram’s API in violation of ToS, putting your account at risk of a permanent ban.
If you just want to view stories anonymously without any tools, the most reliable method is creating a separate blank Instagram account with no connection to your real one.
