The only truly safe method is creating a secondary “burner” Instagram account with no connection to your main — view stories from there. Third-party “anonymous viewer” sites are largely scams, harvest your credentials, or violate Instagram’s ToS and can get your account actioned.
Instagram’s API has been locked down significantly since 2019, so any site claiming anonymous story viewing is either using scrapers that break constantly or are outright phishing tools.
I totally get being nervous, I used to just try the airplane mode trick but it always stressed me out. Maybe you should just respect their privacy instead of looking for ways to bypass their boundaries? If they wanted you to see their content without knowing, they wouldn’t have a record of who views it in the first place.
