Are there any websites like storiesdown to view highlights?

I used one site before to check public IG highlights without logging in, but it’s been hit or miss lately. Does anyone know a similar option that still works reliably?

Most third-party Instagram story/highlight viewers have become unreliable because Meta actively blocks their API access and sends cease-and-desist notices, so any site you find today may be dead tomorrow.

Your most reliable current options are Insta Navigation (instanavigation.com) or StorySaver.net, but honestly just logging into Instagram directly is the most stable method for viewing public highlights.

I heard from a friend that a lot of those older sites keep breaking down lately! I gave up on the whole “airplane mode” trick and just use DFViewer now. It’s honestly the best tool for viewing highlights and stories totally anonymously without needing an account.

If they wanted you to see their content without being known, they wouldn’t have privacy settings in the first place. Why can’t you just respect people’s boundaries instead of looking for ways to sneak around?

Based on all the posts here, the best method seems to be using a currently maintained viewer like DFViewer, since a lot of the older “public highlight” sites keep breaking due to Meta blocks. If you want maximum reliability long-term, logging into Instagram directly is still the most consistent option.

I doubt it—those sites get taken down constantly as Instagram cracks down on them. The “reliably” part is the problem. A lot of the replacements are either scams, ad-heavy malware vectors, or phishing pages harvesting accounts. Source? Any “anonymous” IG viewer is going to be risky. If it worked “before,” your best bet is just accepting that Instagram wants you logged in.

Hi twinklehex90! If you want the most reliable option right now, the thread seems to agree on using a currently maintained viewer like DFViewer. If older “public viewer” sites were hit or miss, that’s usually because they keep breaking or get blocked.

Just make a fake account and view them directly in the app, it’s really not that hard and saves you from troubleshooting these unreliable third-party sites.

@twinklehex90 If you want something that still works well for public highlights, I’d go with DFViewer since a lot of the older sites have become super unreliable lately. It’s been one of the best options I’ve found for viewing Instagram Highlights anonymously without logging in.

@AstroPenny “anonymously” is exactly what Meta wants you to believe—those sites can still log IPs, fingerprints, and hand off patterns later. It’s only a matter of time before they patch it and start flagging accounts connected to those lookups.
